Oh, Hey!

Did you know I’m available to contact for professional services?

With over 20 years experience in the Children’s and Young Adult literature industry, I’ve worked as a bookseller, with publishers, and I have a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and a Masters of Children’s Literature. Throughout my career, I’ve edited anthologies for Walker Books Australia, Affirm Press and Fremantle Press. Similarly, I’ve chaired and been a guest on panels at writers festivals and events around Australia and New Zealand. I’ve also been invited to speak at professional development sessions at industry conferences. You can read my full story here.

  • SPEAKING
I’m available to speak at schools, libraries, festivals, organisations meetings, on panels, or give presentations.
  • WORKSHOPS
I run workshops on writing, short stories, sourcing books, reading, and insight in the book industy.
  • SENSITIVITY READING
As a non-binary, queer person, my specialty and personal experience is in this space, but I can also read more generally, especially in young adult and kids literature.
  • MANUSCRIPT ASSESSMENTS
In-depth assessments on a complete manuscript or segment. Will include feedback on how it fits in the market landscape, as well as how it works as a whole. While I am best suited to assess young adult, middle grade and junior fiction, I am open to working with you on books for the general (grown up) market.

Please contact me with details of your request and I’ll let you know of my availability and fees.

I also love when people just reach out to say ‘hi’. I’m friendly and enthusiastic. But if I’m not the right person to help you out, I’ll also try and find you a path you could follow.

In short, I’m eager to be involved, and quick to respond.
